Human Resources: Employee Benefits Summary

The following is a summary of benefits that apply to part-time or full-time employees who work in benefit-eligible positions.

Health Plans

KPC Health (including Hemet Valley Medical Center and Menifee Valley Medical Center) offers comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans.

Personal Time Off (PTO)

KPC Health (including Hemet Valley Medical Center and Menifee Valley Medical Center) provides benefited employees from two to five weeks of (PTO) for vacation time, short-term illness or personal time, per year with accruals based on hours worked, years of service, and employment status.

Holidays

KPC Health (including Hemet Valley Medical Center and Menifee Valley Medical Center) recognizes eight paid holidays per year for benefited employees. Pay for these holidays is prorated based upon actual hours worked. In addition, benefited employees are paid at the overtime rate for hours worked on these holidays.

Extended Sick Leave (ESL)

Twenty-four (24) hours of sick leave benefits are accrued into an Extended Sick Leave bank for full-time employees. This benefit is available in the event of a serious illness and is coordinated with state disability. Hours are prorated for part-time employees.

Educational Leave

Up to 5 paid days are available per year depending on employee status. An employee must have worked for KPC Health (including Hemet Valley Medical Center and Menifee Valley Medical Center) for six months to qualify for this benefit.

Tuition Reimbursement

Up to $1,000 per fiscal year will be considered for approved educational courses. Employees must have worked a minimum of six months to be eligible.
